Katrina’s Café
This 4 and ½ star-rated breakfast and brunch space is located at 456 Grass Valley Hwy Auburn, CA. They have been serving delightful breakfast and brunch since 1977.
The place is cozy and has a perfect outdoor dining area that is pet friendly. That said, the restaurant is right along Hwy 49 and there is a lot of traffic so a lease on your pup is a good idea. Katrina’s serves a wide variety of food on their menu, though occasionally they allow diners to order items that are off the menu, too.
This restaurant is top notch, is always busy and sometimes service is affected, but regulars or non-regulars still find their food worth the wait. Having been to breakfast all over the state, I’ve got to say that Katrina’s parallels some of the best breakfast dining I’ve had. The hollandaise sauce is CRAZY good!
Without giving too much away..they have the best biscuits and gravy in all of south Placer County!
Nancy’s Café
Another 4 and ½ star-rated out of 417 reviews? Wow. Nancy’s restaurant in Auburn is at 356 Elm Avenue Auburn. Nancy’s serves sweet and savory selection of vegan, vegetarian and allergy-friendly options for picky eaters and sensitive diners. Breakfast diners from all over the region rave about Nancy’s.
This place has a cozy and friendly atmosphere and is a dog friendly restaurant with a patio to enjoy with your furry buddy. If you love pancakes, then drop by and try a few.
Edelweiss
This family-owned restaurant is located at 627 High St Auburn, CA. With 4 and ½ stars out of 324 reviews, this restaurant serves wonderful food, has a vast menu selection and huge portions. Come hungry! The very casual atmosphere with cozy booths, stand alone tables and a couple of round captain’s tables for larger parties located in the back.
They have a really friendly staff that make everyone feel welcome. You’ll sometimes experience a wait here for a table so please allow for additional time if you decide to visit Edelweiss. It’s a local favorite.
