This beautiful city has a lot to offer its visitors and locals. Combined with the natural beauty of the area and plenty of outdoor recreational choices, there is always something to do in Auburn! Here’s a shortlist of upcoming community events in Auburn that you won’t want to miss.
The Auburn Cruise Nite started over 30 years ago in the Fosters Freeze parking lot on Hwy 49. It’s been going ever since. This event features over 300 vintage cars, 1972 or later, on Lincoln-Way every second Friday from May to September. Admission is free for both contestants and viewers. Food kiosks and live music are also in the area. Click here for a link to more information.
Find fresh produce, and meet local vintners, farmers, and ranchers at the Farmer’s Market near the Old Town Courthouse. The Farmers’ Market features local agricultural products, homemade artisan treats, and quality meats.
Visit them from 8 am to 12 pm. Click here for more information on the Placer Grown-organized farmers’ markets.
Reminisce the good times with the area’s best musicians and singers in Central Square this summer. Catch them on Friday and Saturday evenings at High Street and Lincoln Way crossroads. Visit Downtown Auburn’s website for the complete lineup.
Love pumpkin spice and the fall season? Visit the pumpkin trail in Gold Country Fairgrounds in October from Mondays to Sundays, 6:30 pm to 10 pm. Take Instagram-worthy photos with 10-feet tall jack-o-lanterns and lifesize sculptures of a dragon, pirate ship, guitar, etc. We recommend going there on weeknights to avoid the crowds. It takes only 30 minutes to go through the trail.
You can visit the Fairgrounds from November 19 to 21 and take advantage of this special treat! Get a dose of Vitamin C at the Mountain Mandarin Festival, where you can get fresh Mandarin oranges from Sierra Foothills. You can also shop for local pantry supplies ranging from jams, balsamic vinegar, olive oil, and jellies. Food vendors also serve popular food like glazed wings and pizza.
Do you find musicals and film screenings entertaining? Find inspiration or a moment of laughter and tears at the Auburn State Theater. They have a lineup of performing artists and stunning stage plays every month. Few of these include Broadway Pops and Mick Martin. Visit their website for the schedules.
