The holidays are over and I’m tired of cooking. I’d like to go to one of my favorite haunts and find a nice dinner in Auburn. With so many choices, I can find something close to home. With the pandemic waning, going out has become easier. Here’s a list of great restaurants for dinner in Auburn. Whether you live in town or are coming down the hill from Tahoe, any of these businesses will fill your tummy with goodness!
While I understand that usually, a brewpub wouldn’t necessarily make the list of “great” restaurants, the Auburn Alehouse is the exception to the rule. I’ve been to the Alehouse many times and had great meals there. With four solid star rating on over 1300 reviews, something has to be going right! They have a friendly staff, a down-home ambiance, good food, and beer. It’s a solid choice for lunch or dinner.
With over 8,000 square feet of outdoor space, this place offers a fantastic experience to its visitors. Situated in East Auburn, The Station Public House is becoming people’s favorite backyard dining destination. With the cozy ambiance along with the fabulous gastropub menu, this dining destination is certainly a must-visit for dinner in gold country.
And, yes! Don’t forget the diverse selection of wine and over 40 beers on tap it has to offer. FYI, they are usually closed on Mondays.
Situated at 130 Maple St, Tap & Vine at White House is popular with its classic American Dishes. The location is perfect. With its stylish interior and outdoor seating, Tap & Vine offers a vibrant atmosphere for its guests to choose from according to their mood. Since they moved to the new location, I haven’t been, but if the reviews are any indication, the location is the only thing that has changed.
Situated at Washington St, Crudo gives an old town vibe to its guests. The menu is an Asian Fusion, seafood, and soup. Seafood lovers must visit this place to enjoy a comfortable ambiance, music, seafood, and drinks. You would also get to taste some sumptuous Asian delicacy with a modern touch. It’s definitely a change of pace.
Situated at 175 Palm Ave, Auburn Thai Garden Restaurant is the destination for Thai food lovers. You can treat yourself to the spicy Thai specialties with a choice from a wide variety of beers. Thai Garden is open on Monday, Friday, and Saturday for dinner!
BONUS! One of my favorite restaurants in town is Pho King Good Vietnamese restaurant on Hwy 49. I’ve had a lot of Vietnamese food over the years, and the food at Pho King is excellent. I was amazed by the freshness of the food and the friendly staff. You can’t miss this one!
